# Social Blade for everyone you know.

One private contact book. Bring your contacts together and let your agent help you stay in touch.

```bash
bun add --global @hraness/peopleblade@latest
```

Free CLI · macOS and Linux · No account needed

- **Bring your contacts.** One book from 14 import sources, including contacts, chat apps, and exports.
- **Private by default.** Your book lives on your computer. Conversation text stays out.
- **No account required.** Start for free. Add free sync whenever you want it.
- **No lock-in.** Keep your database, export your contacts, and take them anywhere.
- **Your choice of AI.** Use the agent and AI subscription you already have.
- **Build on your book.** Open data and a full command line for any workflow you imagine.

## See it work, start to finish.

Three imports become one person, your agent answers a question with its sources, and device sync copies the book to a second computer.

## Bring your contacts together.

Bring together your address book, chat contacts, and exports. Review matches once; keep the context in one place.

Your contacts come together, with the source of each detail preserved.

1. **Import what you already have.** Bring in contacts from your accounts and exports. Your original address books stay intact.
2. **Accept the matches.** Review suggested matches by email or phone. You choose what to join, and can undo it.
3. **Ask your agent.** Ask your agent to find someone, add a note, or show who you meant to follow up with.

[Choose your sources](https://peopleblade.com/sources) or [find and inspect a person](https://peopleblade.com/guide#find).

## Find people and keep the context.

A little context makes it easier to keep in touch.

- **Find people.** Search names, organizations, titles, and contact details across every import. Filter by source or tag, and sort by last contact.
- **Keep notes.** Add dated Markdown notes to a person, search them, and edit them with a full history of changes.
- **Follow up.** Set a reminder or a rhythm, such as every six weeks. Ask your agent who is due a follow-up.
- **Correct a detail.** Edit a name, title, or organization. Later imports never overwrite your edit, and you can reset it to the imported value.
- **Research a person.** Add cited public research to a contact, using your agent or optional paid enrichment.

## Let your agent work with your contacts.

Claude Code, Codex, or your preferred agent can search your book and help you keep in touch.

Ask in your own words. Your agent finds the answer in your contact book.

- **Use your own agent.** Keep the AI tools and subscriptions you already use. Any agent that runs terminal commands can work with your book.
- **Share just enough context.** Give your agent one person's background and cited research. Your notes and other contacts stay out of that file.
- **Build on your book.** Your local data, an open-source CLI, and a hosted API let you build your own tools and workflows.

Public CLI · npm 0.15.1

The CLI is on npm as @hraness/peopleblade 0.15.1, for Bun on macOS and Linux. Your contact book is a SQLite file on your computer, and you need a web account only for the optional device sync, cloud sync, /api/v1 connector, and hosted research.

[Review the npm package](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@hraness/peopleblade/v/0.15.1), [read the release guide](https://peopleblade.com/guide#release), or [inspect versioned npm metadata](https://registry.npmjs.org/%40hraness%2Fpeopleblade/0.15.1).

## Sync only when you choose.

Keep your book on one computer, or sync it for free. You choose.

- **Device sync.** Keep contacts and notes together across your devices, with end-to-end encryption. [How device sync works](https://peopleblade.com/guide#sync)
- **Cloud sync.** Make selected contact details available to connected tools and optional paid enrichment. Notes and message text stay out. [What cloud sync uploads](https://peopleblade.com/guide#cloud)

Your contact book is a SQLite database on your computer. Data leaves it only when you run a command that sends something: device sync, cloud sync, a research check on public profiles, an exposure check against breach and public-record sources, a Hunter work-email lookup, or sending a signed exposure summary to one contact. Each of those commands states what it sends.

## Questions

### Do I need an account?

No account is needed for your local book. Create a free account when you want device sync, cloud sync, connected tools, or paid enrichment.

### Is PeopleBlade related to Social Blade?

No. The name is a nod. Social Blade tracks public stats for creators' accounts. PeopleBlade keeps a private book of the people you know and shows which app or export each contact came from. Its X import counts your own following, followers, and mutuals. It offers no creator grades, rankings, or audience growth tracking.

### Is there an app or a web view of my contacts?

PeopleBlade works through your agent or the terminal. There is no contact-browsing app. The website manages your optional account.

### Which contacts can I bring?

PeopleBlade imports from 14 sources, each verified end to end: two on your Mac, four signed-in accounts through GhostGet, three official data exports, and five kinds of file you choose. Two more need setup first and are not counted yet: Gmail interactions and X live mutuals. The verified ones are Apple Contacts, iMessage, Google Contacts, Beeper, WhatsApp, Substack subscribers, LinkedIn, Instagram, X data archive, Contact CSV, vCard contacts, Outlook contact export, Calendar invitations, and Apple Photos. Apple Contacts and iMessage need macOS. Substack sync handles publications up to 500 subscribers. The sources page lists each one with its limits.

### How does matching work?

A shared name never joins two people. An exact email or phone match joins them after you accept it, or when you opt in to auto-accept. You can undo an accepted match.

### What does it cost?

The CLI and optional sync are free. The code is MIT licensed, and your AI subscription is separate. Hosted research is optional and costs at most $0.16 per contact. Previewing a run is free and shows the contacts it would research. The final price is set when a run settles, from what it actually used, and you pay only for contacts where it saves at least one detail. Credits are prepaid, one credit per cent, in packs of $10, $25, $50, or $100. You pay through Stripe Checkout; Stripe sells the credits through Link and adds any tax at checkout.

### What do I need to run it?

macOS or Linux with Bun 1.3.14 or newer. Install from the terminal, then point your agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, at the peopleblade command. Apple Contacts and iMessage imports require a Mac.
